Kingdom of Vatnaland history
Kingdom of Vatnaland was created on 10th June 1059. The country politically isolated itself and avoided many wars until the 21st century when the British dragged them into ww2
During ww2 Kingdom of Vatnaland had a coup d'état replacing the government with a monarch/facist dictatorship.
Volunteers from the Royal Vatna army fought at Normandy beach, sadly none of them had made it out alive.
The rest of ww2 vatnaland remained neutral.
In 1985 the entire economy collapsed, and the government was temporarily replaced by INSO high ranking officials to contain the horrible conditions in the country. This event has caused the death of 2000 and 185.000 refugees fleeing to neighboring countries.
After it was over martial law was declared and the countries economy was slowely rebuild again.
Modern day history
In 2024 Vatnaland got a new king, King Patrior II. His father had died of lung cancer and so he seized power and banned all politcal parties except for the New Facist Movement party.
In late may 2024, Violent protests have happend arround Vatnaland and even the army was send in to contain the situation
The military and police have killed arround 27 people and arrested 569.
Economy
Vatnaland has a strong economy using its own currency called the Vatnaland crown.
Biggest export is Vatna brew and vatna security systems.
Many new shops have opend to the public after the government funded economic reforms, while resulting in massive debt because of overspending, in 1985 the entire economy collapsed and the government was replaced by INSO High ranking officials to contain the bad situation.
Military
Royal vatna army ranks 28 in military power rankings.
The army consists of 2509 active personel and 15000 reservists.
Currently vatnaland doesnt have tanks because they are to expensive to make.
Politics
Theres only 1 political party and thats the New Facist Movement.
The king holds all power of the country while the prime minister holds second most power.
The current prime minister is already serving a term of 23 years.
Police violently cracks down on anti government protestors and any forms of protesting, this has resulted in many economic sanctions and several assasination attempts of the King.
