Great Phermesia (G.P. or GP) is the server's eponymous country located at the center of the Overworld. It consists of 12 cities,the Autonomous Region of Dowland, and uncounted villages and developments. Its immanent area is 4.88 km²,

Its borders are a square-like shape with a perimeter of 16,000 blocks centered around 0,0, making Great Phermesia the second-largest country in the world. Great Phermesia is automatically sovereign to all land and sea in this square, but also holds cities and one territory outside or partially outside this default territory. Great Phermesia shares land borders with AdvancedLands to its southeast, G.P. is a largely urban country with the majority of citizens living in urban high-rise cities. G.P.'s capital, financial center, and most populated city is Shiflett City, situated at the center of the country.

Great Phermesia is constitutional dictatorship. Its government is divided into three branches: the executive, chaired by the President and advised by city mayors; the legislative, chaired by city senators; and the judicial branch, chaired by the President and lower national justices. The Declaration of Great Phermesia and The Constitution (DoGPaTC) is the supreme document, strongly resembling the real-life United States' Declaration of Independence preamble and the Constitution. An exception to this copying is the autocratic nature of the document, giving full executive authority to the President and his descendants. The President appoints supplemental cabinet positions such as the Vice President and the Chief Secretary of State which are not defined in the DoGPaTC.

Great Phermesia is one of the most culturally and economically influential nations in the world, accounting for over half of the world GDP. It the most advanced Overworld military, and is considered the main Overworld superpower.

History

Founding

G.P.'s founder and current president Ryan M. Shiflett, played by the server owner of the same name, founded the country in June of 2013 when the first buildings of Shiflett City were constructed by him and his followers. He assumed dictatorship and "everyone just kind-of went with it". Ryan ruled his land with his word. This new country industrialized and urbanized over the span of a few Earth months. The state of Great Phermesia was founded officially on September 17, 2021 when the DoGPaTC was first written by founder and president Shiflett, detailing via Google Docs his complete and arbitrary rule advised by senators from a federative government around the cities.

Pineapple conflicts

President Ryan has prohibited pineapple pizza in Great Phermesia since the founding of the nation.^{[Citation needed]} Any GP citizen found guilty of using pineapples as a pizza topping are punished (to varying degrees) by order of President Ryan and from the Great Phermesian Customs Force, not by any court of law. President Ryan greatly and personally dislikes the notion of pineapples on pizza and people who put pineapples on pizza, sometimes to the point of murderous rage. Less commonly known is that he dislikes anchovies on pizza and clam chowder as a whole. However, these disdains are not reflected in his rulings.

War on Pineapples

The War on Pineapples started on the 29 of December, 2021, with President Ryan's public service announcement stating GP has declared war on pineapples. The restrictions prohibit all farming, sale, distribution, and consumption of any pineapples or pineapple product in the name of curtailing the invasive species of the pineapple. President Ryan used lethal force via the GP army to surrounding pineapple exporters. The punishment for "pineapple related offences" is sometimes always death. The same day as the ban, Vortex Heights was placed under martial law due to Senator Vortex threatening to illegally produce pineapple pizza. The Anti-Anti Pineapple Pizza Association (AAPPA) terrorists bombed Tesoro City the following day, but were quickly caught and executed by the GP Army.

From July through September of 2022, The Crimson Federation bio-engineered bees designated "pineapple pollinators" to spread pineapple plants around parts of Shiflett City and Spruce Gardens. This was considered an act of bioterrorism by the FBI, and caused the government to close popular nightclub Bad Apple in Spruce Gardens, as this was the location from which the beehives were kept and farmed.^{[Citation needed]} The government spent until September fighting the pollinators.^{[Citation needed]}

The War on Pineapples is ongoing, its wake spreading outside country into the Sled Empire, where many pineapple-related crime offenders sook refuge.

Zelkland Pineapple Crisis

During a experimental technology test, the technology had picked up strong traces of pineapple underground, when ATOM had forwarded this information to President Ryan, Ryan decided to pursue action against Ashchong and Zelkland, such as cutting all diplomatic and economic ties with Zelkland.

The King of Zelkland had not responded to that until later, and had released a statement of two words "Rail Gun" referring to the dangerous weapon he has in his possession, resulting in more and more tension.

Axminister Medical then opened a location in Zelkland, they had thought as a humanitarian organization that it would be ok. When President Ryan had found out he issued a Immediate closure of the location, Which AM followed thru with, but disagreed with ryan.

King Ashchong then in response writes a new law. "Under certain circumstances the government can take ownership of a business. This can only be under reasonable cause being that someone has abandoned the business, or that it threatens national affairs. In the case it threatens affairs, it will be withhold under ownership by the government, but managed by previous owners until the government permits ownership to be transferred back to the original owner" and said that it will effect the Axminister Medical Dispensary.

King Ashchong then made a new deadly weapon, A fungal-Nuclear Pineapple Weapon (FNPW)

Shortly after this, President Ryan then made a move to repair relations between the two nations and held live talks in Axminister, Ryan had wanted Ashchong to publicly apologize, and give ownership of Zelkland to Great Phermesia, Ashchong refused and they continued to negotiate and reached a agreement. He agreed to apologize publicly, and give Great Phermesia 28% of Zelklands GDP.

This conflict lasted about 2 weeks, from 2/22/23 to 3/3/23

Geography

Great Phermesia is home to many biomes from all five biome types. Most of the immanent land is artificial plains turf in the central oceans. There are deserts in the west, tundra in the south, swamps in the center-west, and jungles in the northeast.

Government and politics

Great Phermesia is a one-party state with a unicameral legislature. There are two tiers of the Great Phermesian government are the federal, for governing policies that affect the entire country; and city, for governing the cities and territories, planning, and enacting policies unique or unregulated by the federal government. The federal government practices non-interventionism with its subordinate city-states, allowing cities to develop their own societies so long as they do not conflict with national interests.
