    Great Phermesia Wiki:Wiki rules

Below is a suggested set of rules to follow when editing this wiki. Administrators of this wiki should read these rules and adapt them as necessary.

    Wiki Rules[edit]

    1. Pages about people: Title the page either their Minecraft username or their Discord username if it doesn't change often (without the discriminator). Do not title the page one of their nicknames (e.g., a page about Congrosium would be titled Congrosium, not Congro)
      1. The page content should then contain all common aliases for that person for clarity
      2. If the subject's Minecraft username contains consecutive and trailing numeric digits (e.g. Molina6089), it is optional to leave the suffix containing the numbers out of the title, including the full username in the page content.
    2. Notability: Pages and content must be notable to the lore of the Server. If a page overlaps significantly in content with another, the pages should be Merged. See Wikipedia:Notability for more information.
      1. Discord messages from the Great Phermesia wiki count as reliable sources. They must be linked via the "Copy Message Link" feature, and they can be accompanied with a link to a screenshot of the message(s). A template to link Discord sources in a more streamlined way is coming soon.
      2. Coreprotect logs count as reliable sources. Ask a Server Moderator or Technician to ascertain those.
    3. Cite your sources wherever possible. You will not always be able to find sources, and that's okay. However, this wiki is not a free writing club; your contributions must have something to do with the server itself. Avoid unnecessary (but unfortunately fun) loredumping.
    4. This rules list is subject to amendment.

Rules to follow on all wikis, but also ours:[edit]

    1. Keep it civil: Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use bigoted language, including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc.
    2. Be a productive member of the wiki: Contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an administrator! Disrupting the wiki with “edit warring” over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
    3. Do not engage in excessive self-promotion: The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
    4. Do not harass other users: If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall, respect their wishes. It is their wall.
    5. Do follow community guidelines for formatting: When a community has established formatting, it’s important to adhere to that, especially when spoiler content is involved.
